ISO: APHA Conference Logo

2016-apha-logoI attended the International Antiquarian Book Faire in Pasadena CA today, and I saw your postcard advertisement for The Black Art and Printers’ Devils event. I am fascinated by the symbol on the card, would you be so kind as to tell me what it is and what you know of it?

  1. We are pleased that you find the symbol for the upcoming APHA conference intriguing. I’m afraid I can’t tell you what the symbol is or what I know about it because … we are holding a friendly competition at the conference. Any conference attendee who can guess what it is and provide
additional details has a chance to win a lovely prize. We’ll reveal the details after October 9th. We hope to see you at the conference!

  2. Wearing my heart on my sleeve, I’ve had the three symbols you depict, confusingly conjoined, tattooed on the ball of my left shoulder for the past 19 years.
