Nominations Needed
APHA annually makes two awards, one to an individual and one to an institution, as a way of recognizing “a distinguished contribution to the study, recording, preservation or dissemination of printing history, in any specific area or in general terms.” The 2015 Awards Committee, comprising Amanda Nelsen, Kathleen Walkup, and Michael Thompson (chair), is now accepting nominations for these awards.
Your participation in this process is encouraged. Please include in your submission the name of the nominee (either an institution or an individual), contact information for the nominator and the nominee, a brief summary of why the nominee’s contribution to printing history deserves recognition, and some basic biographical or institutional information about the nominee.
The deadline for the nomination process is September 15th, 2014. Awards will be made at the annual meeting of APHA in New York in January 2015. Electronic submissions are preferred. Please send them to awards@printinghistory.org. Nominations by mail should be sent to: Awards Committee, P.O. Box 4519, Grand Central Station, New York, New York 10163.
