APHA Awards Call for Nominations

Do you know of an in individual or institution who has made or is making major contributions to printing history? The American Printing History Association presents two annual awards, one to an individual and one to an institution, as a way of recognizing “a distinguished contribution to the study, recording, preservation or dissemination of printing history, in any specific area or in general terms.”

The 2017 Awards Committee is now accepting nominations for these two awards. The committee encourages your thoughtful nominations for these important awards. Submissions will be considered only if the following information is included: the name of the nominee (either an institution or an individual); contact information for the nominator and the nominee; a brief summary of why the nominee’s contribution to printing history deserves recognition; and basic biographical or institutional information about the nominee. A list of previous awardees is available on the Awards page.

The deadline for the nomination process has been extended to November 11th, 2016. Recipients will receive awards at the APHA annual meeting in New York in January 2017. Electronic submissions are preferred: Please send them to awards@printinghistory.org.  (If you do not receive a confirmation of receipt within 24 hours, please email an2b@virginia.edu with the nomination.)

Nominations by mail should be sent to:
