Jennifer Anne

The 2026 Mark Samuels Lasner Fellowship in Printing History was awarded to Jennifer Anne “Reactivating Historic English Wood Type Manufacturing”

Anne’s background demonstrates knowledge of production processes of wood type, and suggests her participation in bringing the DeLittle pantograph back into use. Outcomes, including catoguing of the DeLittle wood type collection, giving a lecture, and writing an article were clearly spelled out. The differences in the history of American and British wood type were central to the research, which was framed in terms of Anne’s own practice-based approach. The budget was in line with the research timeline needs.
