As usual Chris Manson had a wonderful keepsake locked on his Vandercook Universal III so everyone could print their own copy (shown on the left).

There was far more food than everyone could eat with lots of great entreés from sushi to wonderful chili (always a Chesapeake Chapter favorite), dips & chips, and desserts that kept a steady stream of attendees flowing through the kitchen all day.

A table was set up allowing members to show recently printed samples along with new additions to printing collections. A number of our members who print brought recent work along with several who brought new additions to their collections. Many offered free take-aways for anyone that wanted them.

There was a constant flutter of conversations upstairs near the food & display and downstairs in Crooked Crow Press between a lot of veteran letterpress printers and collectors and what is clearly an exciting new generation of interested people. There were recent university graduates with new shops, most notably Gingerly Press and Typecast Press. It was clear that there is a lot of interest in lettepress printing and now we need to help connect them to its history.

The annual business meeting showed our finances in seriously good standing and a call was made to the group to think about good things we could do with the money. A call will go out soon for a new edition of the programming committee. Anyone with any interest in an involvement or with suggestions for events should get in contact with any of the chapter officers.

The upcoming ballot which has just gone out for Chapter officers for 2015-2016 will list George Barnum for President, Casey Smith for Vice President, Chris Sweterlitsch for Secretary and Jackie Coleburn for Treasurer. If you get one please return it as soon as you can.
