1998 Lieberman Memorial Lecture

Kenneth Carpenter 
"Printing Culture and Library Revolutions"

Kenneth Carpenter, Assistant Director for Research Resources in the Harvard University Library, will deliver the 1998 J. Ben Lieberman Memorial Lecture on Thursday, October 15. Carpenter will speak on "Printing Culture and Library Revolutions" beginning at 6 p.m. in the Mezzanine Conference Room of the Boston Public Library, Copley Square, Boston, MA. The lecture, which is sponsored by the American Printing History Association, is free and open to the public. 

The Lieberman Lecture was established in 1986 by the American Printing History Association in honor of its founder and first president, J. Ben Lieberman. Previous speakers have included Claire Van Vliet, Paul Needham, David Kaser, Robert Bringhurst, Claire Badaracco, and G. Thomas Tanselle. 

Following the Lieberman Lecture and reception, the New England Chapter of APHA will convene in the same location for its annual meeting.
